Crazy World 2020

It has definitely been a crazy year in 2020. It started out well with Roots Tech Conference in SLC, then celebration of Ralph's 75th birthday. Our children planned and delivered a great birthday pasta dinner including best friends and special compiled Missionary Booklet of Ralph French East Mission days by grandson Blake. Then everything was downhill from there... Covid-19 from China struck the US and around the world causing much infections, deaths, lockdowns, event and trip cancellations, masks, business closures and bankruptcies, etc. To add to the grief on the west coast, major wildfire destruction has caused loss of homes, property and horrid air quality. The years not even over yet and the Covid virus outbreaks continue to sicken, presidential race is too close to call and children are not back in school or even allowed on playgrounds. Hoping for a better 2021!

Family Hikes Summer 2020

Glen and Kellyn have invited us to join them on hikes every Sunday morning since Covid-19 has forced stay at home orders and shutting down of regular Sunday services. Here are some photos from our hike today.

Returned to a favorite  place today - Redwoods Regional Park in Alameda County, CA

Baby Emery's first hike today all cozy in her mommy pack.

Bennett looks forward to and loves the weekly family hikes, usually running but sometimes taking a break in dad's backpack.

Exploring to the max walking on old redwoods, usually with a stick.

It's a family affair.

Always fun to make the bridge sing with your stick.

Grandma Kate from Utah joined us today.

Covid-19 Stay at Home order

Due to Covid-19 Worldwide Pandemic, the Bay Area was one of the first nationally to issue a Stay at Home order March 16, 2020 to prevent spread of virus and reduce deaths. Unfortunately, Orinda Senior Care Center has been a hot spot with many infections and deaths, leading the county.

Our new Covid look - gray beard and ponytail! All barber shops and hair salons are closed.

Been busy sewing dozens of cloth face masks for family and hospitals to meet new requirement to wear in public. The 500 years of elastic I purchased for $5 years ago has come in handy as there is now a shortage.
