BYU Womens Conference 2011

My sister Gay Blalock and I attended BYU Women's Conference this year. We were treated like queens as part of the BYU President's Leadership Council. We stayed in cabins up Provo canyon near Sundance Ski Resort. Karen Ashton hosted meals and main events in her large home with bunkhouse across the street that accommodates about fifty people. We stayed in the Magleby cabin. Cabin is actually a misnomer as they are well appointed luxury homes. Despite being May, it was cold with a few inches of snow. So nice to have shuttles dropping us off at Marriott Center curbside. John and Susan Tanner gave wonderful presentation Friday afternoon on the theme "By small and simple things great things come to pass" highlighting some family history. Saturday was fun shopping at Park City Outlets with Kellyn, Laura, Elaine, Gay and me. Sunday, we attended Natalie's blessing with family dinner afterward. Orange rolls was my food assignment. Sixty rolls disappeared within minutes. Yum...nice prelude to dessert. This is my third time to make orange rolls with unanimous requests for repeat. This recipe will have to be included in my Severson family favorites. Tyler and Alesha Howells joined us with update on Cozy Earth. Valorie was visiting from southern California for Presley's first birthday.
