Spring 2021 brought Baby Robins

So exciting to see the beautiful blue eggs in the nest diligently built by the robin mother in our lemon tree just outside our master bathroom window and spa. So fun to watch the eggs hatch, then baby birds grow. They left the nest while on our trip to Disneyland; so we missed their launch. Ralph has seen them hopping around on the ground learning to feed and fly. It was a joy to have them make it to maturity as the first batch of eggs were unfortunately eaten by a naughty squirrel.

Spring 2021 Beach Vacation

After the long Covid-19 shut downs and stay at home orders for the last year, everyone was ready to enjoy a beach trip for spring vacation. The Gagons, Suttons and Tanners were able to join us. So fun with side trip to Sea World San Diego.

Oakland Zoo Fieldtrip

We scheduled a visit to the Oakland Zoo in December but unfortunately everything shut down again for Covid-19 so had to wait until March. It was enjoyed by all except the cold weather. We got a season pass so can return many times when weather is warmer.

Crazy World 2020

It has definitely been a crazy year in 2020. It started out well with Roots Tech Conference in SLC, then celebration of Ralph's 75th birthday. Our children planned and delivered a great birthday pasta dinner including best friends and special compiled Missionary Booklet of Ralph French East Mission days by grandson Blake. Then everything was downhill from there... Covid-19 from China struck the US and around the world causing much infections, deaths, lockdowns, event and trip cancellations, masks, business closures and bankruptcies, etc. To add to the grief on the west coast, major wildfire destruction has caused loss of homes, property and horrid air quality. The years not even over yet and the Covid virus outbreaks continue to sicken, presidential race is too close to call and children are not back in school or even allowed on playgrounds. Hoping for a better 2021!

RFS 75th Birthday celebrated with all children.

ESCS 70th Birthday with some grandchildren.

Family Hikes Summer 2020

Glen and Kellyn have invited us to join them on hikes every Sunday morning since Covid-19 has forced stay at home orders and shutting down of regular Sunday services. Here are some photos from our hike today.

Returned to a favorite  place today - Redwoods Regional Park in Alameda County, CA

Baby Emery's first hike today all cozy in her mommy pack.

Bennett looks forward to and loves the weekly family hikes, usually running but sometimes taking a break in dad's backpack.

Exploring to the max walking on old redwoods, usually with a stick.

It's a family affair.

Always fun to make the bridge sing with your stick.

Grandma Kate from Utah joined us today.
